So I was planning on going to U92's Tune Swap party at 123 last night but since it was day off, i decided it would be a good idea to finish off the liquor in my house...at 3 in the afternoon. So yeah I was pretty drunk. I was doing okay tho until Angel went to do her lesson plans and I fell asleep on the bottom on the bed. I only slept for about an hour but I knew there was no way I was going to the party. So I was just gonna watch tv.

I slept through WVU's upset win over Pitt in the Big East tourney AND I slept through regulation and the first 5 OTs in the UCONN/Syracuse game. But news of those two games were a nice thing to wake up to.

I was up from 1 to 4 something. I had gotten up for about an hour when I first woke up and the rest was spent with me trying to watch my Hulk Hogan DVD and fall asleep.

So I'm a bit sore and tired this morning, but I'm not hungover. lol.

And now a funny video!

Making French Toast

I've never made it before. lol. It's not coming along too bad.

So I DJ-ed my last show on the Urban Diner. It was just time to go. The Diner never had the ambitious director it deserved and I was always too busy. More often than not, we got stuck with DJs who weren't consistent with their shifts. There was no promotion. No fanbase other than the FCI inmates and their family who called in to do shoutouts. And Kwame left. And E left. And I found myself really bored with the shift.

Hopefully there will be some new DJs that will come and take the Diner out of its rut. Someone who will care enough about the music to make the show relevant again. We'll see.

I'm going to be starting my own internet/radio podcast soon tho, Victory Jumpoff Radio. This way I can play whatever I want, run things how I want and listeners can download and listen whenever they want.

And I'll also be starting a new solo podcast as well. Spideyville: The Clone Saga. This podcast will be wide open. Whatever I feel like rambling about will be the topic. I called it The Clone Saga because I have a feeling I might run a bit long on certain subjects, so it's a warning of what's to come. lol.

I need to work on my french toast skills. lol. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Oh well.

I have some errands to run today but besides that I'm off. Guess I'll go find something to get into.

I didn't go to sleep last night.

I got so caught up redesigning the Soundvizion myspace and promoting 6's show on facebook so much that they threatened to disable my account that the time was flying by.

And it was 3 am.

I have an 8 am class on Tuesday and Thursdays. I knew that if I went to sleep, I wasn't getting up.

So I waited it out. Went to both my morning classes. Came back to house. Crashed for about an hour or so. Got up, shaved and showered. came back downtown for my last class.

I know I'm tired, but at least the little nap I got to take helped.

So I'm about to call Angel then get my playlist ready for my radio show tonight at 8 pm. If you want to listen you can go to 91.7 FM if you're local or http://u92.wvu.edu and click the Listen Live link if you're not.

I really promoted hard on facebook last night. I f anyone got multiple emails, I apologize. It's just business.

So I'm posting early because my night is pretty much ocupado. I might take a shot at recording my show again.

And I'll post that Method Man interview in a bit too in all its failed glory. lol.

I'm DJ-ing on U92FM right now. The Urban Diner as usual. I'm on every Thursday from 8pm to 10pm. For those of you that's not in my area, you can always check it out on the web at http://u92.wvu.edu and click the Listen Live link. That's eastern time but it has to be the best hip-hop and R&B on radio that I know. lol.

I found my interview I did with Method Man way back when. It's really bad. I sound so nervous because it's METHOD MAN. But I'll still post it up so we can all laugh together. But I'm the only person i know that's interviewed Method Man.

Today is Ed's 26th birthday. He came to 123 last night and I suppose he's planning on coming to Buck's tonight. He seems to be enjoying himself so I'm glad about that.

Since June, we've (Soundvizion and the Morgantown DJz) have been doing a weekly Thursday night show at the bar in South Park called Buck's. It's not a bad spot. It get's a little smoky but their stage is nice, they have a video projector, and even a room off from the bar that makes for a "V.I.P." area. I'll be there tonight but I don't think I'm performing there again until September 18. I'm second headlining show!

Gotta get back to the radio...

Okay I have to vent about this shit.

Two years ago, we did a show in Morgantown with this guy Sinsear. As promotion we brought him on the Diner and played some of his music. He's not good at all. After that he kept coming to the station for awhile unannounced just expecting to get on the radio. MI even went so far to battle him on-air, make him look ridiculous, and he didn't even realize it. But then he disappeared.

So I run into him every now and then and last I heard he changed his name to Sparks and was about to get ahold of Monstalung and get down with Soundvizion and do anything he has to. Paid him no mind, just kept it moving. Wasn't mean or nothing.

So a few weeks ago, CFX tells me dude goes into the restaurant where he works on karaoke night and rhymes. I laughed and forgot about it.

Get to U92 today and the Tuesday night Urban Diner DJ says these 4 people have come to the station the past two weeks demanding that he play their music and interview them. He took their CD the first time and the second time after he did play a song of theirs they come back wanting to get interviewed. I figure out that one of the people is Sinsear/Sparks. I go to their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/1organizeddestruction.

Watch a video:

Then I write him a nice but firm email about telling him to stop expecting shit from the station and that he has to go through the proper channels if he wants to get anywhere with the Diner since I'm in charge of it for the summer. That's the end of it...

Until I go to his myspace just looking around and see he has one of those voice message boxes. I listen to it, nothing exciting. Then I get to the third message and the girl sounds real familiar. Cause it's my girlfriend! Turns out he recorded the beginning to one of my songs off my mixtape and put it on his voice message box. Under his name. How fucking stupid is he?

I'm done, just wanted to share if anyone reads all this. Here's the song I used it on.

So I had a couple friends tell me they heard my song on the radio this week and someone else said they got The Mind's Mixtape volume Three from The Den. The crazy part, I never put my CD in The Den, so someone is bootlegging my shit! lol. And the radio play came from getting spins on U92. Still, it's nice to know other people hear your music.

Teletech hasn't been too bad.  I've only been through the training portion though, nesting and the taking of calls starts tomorrow.  Customer service calls for Bank of American credit card customers.  Wack.

U92's 25th anniversary weekend came and went.  I didn't attend any of the events.  Since I got kicked out of school I really don't feel as part of U92 as I used to.  And Kim giving my Friday shift sucked too but I did deserve it.  From what I've heard and seen it was a huge success.  And Ed and I had an awesome Diner shift on Saturday evening.

Last night we celebrated Stevie's coming 25th birthday at the Martini Bar.  With a 300 dollar bar tab.  Good times, noodle salad.

The mixtape is almost done.  2 songs to record.  One is ready and the other track is half done as I'm waiting on someone to add their part.  Then I got to get the hosting and E's part and the voicemail skits.  Then it's ready.  I should make the cover soon.

Dragon Ball Z Sagas is addictive. Especially with the cheat codes.

I'm regularly watching Heroes, House, South Park, My Name Is Earl, 30 Rock, The Office, King of the Hill, and Family Guy.  And of course Scrubs as I catch up on last season before the season premiere this Thursday.  And The King of Queens a lot too thanks to Ed. And the Sunday night Adult Swim line up (Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Metalocalypse, Frisky Dingo, Lucy Daughter of the Devil, and Venture Brothers.  And Boondocks is back on Mondays at 11:30!

Now let's hope there's regular posting.

Classes haven't been bad so far.  I have class MWF at 11:30, 1:30 and a 6:00 class on Mondays.  TuTh I have a 10:00 and a 4:00.  I really determined not to fuck up this semester so wish me luck.

Tonight will be the second night of interviews for U92.  Last night we did interviews from 6pm to 10pm and tonight it's the same.  Plus I have a jazz shift to do from 6pm to 7pm.

Still don't have my refund check.  Still broke.  Teletech called me last Monday while I was in class and they said they would call me back but I haven't heard from them since.  I might resubmit my application because they called me the day after I submitted last time.  If I work there it'll be part time in the evenings after training but if I could find something else that would pad my pockets better I would rather do that.

It's been 5 weeks since the breakup.  I'm doing okay.

I'm listening to Lazlo Bane - Superman.  Always a boost.

Tomorrow I have classes then E wants me to do the Diner with him, plus I need to sneak a new DJ meeting in sometime tomorrow night.  Then I need to get in bed asap cause I have to DJ from 6am to 9am on Friday morning.  Thankfully I only have one class then it's a three day weekend.  Whoo!

Today was U92 interviews for summer.  As the program director, I'm supposed to be present for these interviews.  I got off work at 5:30, went and looked at some laptops with Angel, then came home and started to hook up this computer tower that Steve gave me to look at.

My phone rang around 6 something but I ignored it.

I check my phone to see if there's a message about 45 minutes later and discover it's Kim asking me if I'm going to show up to interviews.

I get here and the interviews are over.  Kim looks disappointed.  Johnny makes fun of me for not being here.

I am seriously on a rollercoaster of highs and lows as of late.  I can't win and I can't quite lose.  Purgatory.

Grrr....
