Well, on the day that Heroes returns and a new episode of 24 comes on, I turn 24 years old. Of course, I don't feel different. You never do until a few months later. To a lot of people, birthdays are just another day. Not to me. I love my birthday, I'm just not infatuated with the whole number going up thing. Just to think that my organs are damn near a quarter century old is weird.
I had a great party on Friday, thank you to everyone that came out. Probably one of the biggest turnouts I ever had for a shindig. It was great to see everybody. Hell, I even had Ill League and Soundvizion at the same party! But I had a great time. I even managed to get Ill League to lay down two long ass birthday songs for me (which I'll post soon).
Thursday at the Open Mic, went okay. I think the hosting went well enough, but I made the mistake of having a double shot of Jack and coke, correction, 1 and a half of those before I did my performance. I had thought it went horribly wrong, but thanks to Maureen's videos (which I'll post soon) it was a lot better than I thought.
Saturday, I ended up going to house party which turned out to be a birthday party for some dude from the WVU drum line. Ed, Kwame, Josh, Andy, and I had a good time. Earlier in the day, we went to Garfield's with the girls for lunch and then Ed and I posted up at Applebee's for a long afternoon of beer tasting.
Sunday, Angel, Ed, and I braved the snow to eat at Bob Evans. Brooklyn frolicked in the snow at first, but he got cold pretty quick so we took him in. I bought Arena Football and got Ed the new NCAA March Madness game. We watched the Bears/Saints game and caught the end of the Colts/Patriots game. Fuck Tom Brady. Stayed up until midnight hit.
So far, today's been normal. Just classes. Ed left this morning. I'm about to go to my 12:30 class. I have a basketball game at the Rec tonight at 9. And Heroes and 24 are locked and loaded for the DVR tonight.
Hello 24.
