Well, the update I almost didn't think was going to happen is done! I managed to get the PC back onto the net just a few hours ago. I didn't fix ALL of my problems, but the bigger ones have been taken care of. Now, if I could just get SATA 2 to get found I'd be gold...but hey, this isn't my LJ so enough of this palaver, let's get the show on the road.
Exiles #2, brings the Exiles to New York City. That's right, the Big Apple. And to this group of multi-reality, hard travelling heroes the city will only get bigger. Who ever said that size doesn't matter never said it from the stomach of a swallow. No, not coconut carrying swallows. The Exile's confusion gets compounded when they meet up with the Avengers. So, how will these two action-figure sized groups save the day? If a certain turncoat in their midst has anything to say about it, they won't!
Gambit #8-9, these two issues are the lead up to a Guild War that will turn the city red with blood. In #8 Carl Denti, the Xcutioner, travels to the Big Easy to investigate a string of odd murders. Though, as anybody can tell you nothing is exactly normal in New Orleans as it is. #9 takes things to the boiling point as both sides take up their positions to deal with the inevitable backlash of Remy's return to the city that nobody wanted to see him come back to.
Tales to Astonish #3, Hannibal King gets deeper into the muck of the case of two ghosts that are haunting a small town in Upstate New York. Even for a Vampire there are things scary enough to make their hearts skip a beat...if they had hearts that beat, that is.
Uncanny X-Men #2, Sebastian Shaw's mysterious plans have attracted the attention of the X-Men, and unfortunately for Victor Creed and the others of his small band of mutants from Weapon X have attracted Logan's attention. But, hey, when you kidnapp a fella's kids what would you think would happen? Yep, a lot of violence.
X-Force #4, Havok has finally gained an audience with Mikhail Rasputin only to learn that his mission has now gotten a little more dangerous for him and his troupe in Russia. Of course, I think even he would prefer his mission when compared to those left behind at Muir Island having to deal with a very pissed off Selene, who didn't take to having her apartment broken into lightly. You would think a face-full of pointy objects would help settle the matter, but apparently it only makes it worse. Go fig.
So, after all this I think it'd be a very good idea to go read from fanfic for Christ's sake!
