Before I get to the issue solicitations there are a few things I'd like to announce first. Firstly, DC Anthology now has a WILDSTORM Imprint that JLU:2001 was more than gracious enough to share with us. This is the first step to making this Imprint a Universal Imprint to any DC fanfic site that wants it. Part of the reasoning is that if anybody has any Wildstorm stories they wish to tell that're set before the Coup D'etat then they could be focused in to one site to help make this niche site stronger. Not every site is obligated to take it. I wanted to give DCA a few more options and instead of making something new it made sense to me to see if I could get in on the action. So, if anybody at DCA has an interest in Wildstorm you now have an outlet for that

On the front page I have included a banner that links to Meri's wonderful FANFIC: THE MONTH IN FANFICTION LJ, so if you're interested in seeing what's going on around the community you can get to that from both of the Anthology websites. I have also included cross-promotion's to both JLU:2001 and DC INFINITY in an effort to tighten the community and help push attention around to other sites - and hopefully back to us also. You would have seen Curt take the first step in this partnership when he updated JLU:2001 recently and included an ad for DCA on the front page. For the moment this is a three-way dance, but I would be interested in expanding this to other sites within the coming year.

And a special shout-out goes to Meriades for the excellent work he did on the Fanfare, JLU and DCI banners.

So, without further delay:

In Justice League the League's investigation into the Anti-Matter Earth has been compromised by the King of Atlantis who wishes to offer the Martian Manhunter and Atom a proposal that may be too good to pass up...but to accept they will make strange-bedfellows with some rather unexpected allies. Meanwhile, back in Metropolis, Plastic Man goes back to his criminal roots as he and Lex Luthor investigate an attack on a hospital by the Crime Syndicate and their only answer to solve this mystery could get them killed.

Over in JLI Maxwell Lord's day couldn't be going any better. He managed to settle a dispute between Booster Gold and Power Girl, survive an attack by Kilg%re in the previous issue...and now only wants to take in the fresh NYC air...only to get kidnapped by the Injustice Gang! Will Max's day go down the toilet, or will he salvage the day and make it him in time for Lost?

Meanwhile, in Starman, Jack Knight gets his first exposure to the world of Vampires as Flamebird and Dagon must seek out Mary, the Queen of the Vampires. But it's not a quiet night in Opal City as Icicle and Rag Doll get busy doing bad things that bring the attention of Starman and Vibe down upon them.

In Teen Titans we're treated to an introspective Risk who's reminscing of his past drove him to confront his difficult child-hood and drive cross-country with, relunctantly, the son of Plastic Man! But it wouldn't be a Teen Titans book if everything went as planned - especially one written by Tobias Christopher - and the pair run across a supervillain who is determined to turn Luke into a pancake without the convenience of Luke's powers.

And, finally, in Wonder Woman Diana finds love in the arms of the Monarch of Markovia! Even a woman made of rock and magma needs a little tenderness too. While that's happening Red Tornado has an interesting encounter, and the deadly Modo strikes at the other elementals!

So, go read some fanfic!!

And just as the League losses a member another returns to take her place, and she's none too happy with Booster Gold.

In Teen Titans #18 learn the origins of a meta-human teenager whose laying down a righteous butt-kicking on the Teen Titans in Los Angeles in an attack that could leave the city buried under feet of ice. In Wonder Woman #9 the elementals come face to face with a brand new pantheon of elementals that are looking to take over and eradicate the traditional elementals as they're no longer relevant to this world. Diana learns that she wasn't the only one subjected to a metamorphosis as her rogues gallery comes at her in the first wave of their assault on behalf of Modo. The Red Tornado bears witness to the birth of a new elemental and Geo-Force appears to offer Diana an invitation that she can't refuse.

Now that she's no longer in a position to clean up the mess she caused it falls upon the unlikeliest person to take up this take to clean it up for her, Barbara Minerva. Hercules and Cave Carson are among the first to join Cheetah's quest, to combat these rampaging beasts of myth, but they're still in need of one more person before their ranks are complete to become the Challengers of the Unknown!

Jack Knight returns home to Opal City in Starman #1 and seeks to rekindle old relationships lost after he gave up the mantle of Starman years back. We continue our glimpse into the future with Teen Titans #10,000 and we find that even in the year 2778 nothing changes entirely. The Teen Titans race off to an uncharted planet, without a name because it's uncharted, to battle their eternal nemesis Brother Blood. Rest assured blood will be spilt in this confrontation and Titans will rise and fall.

In Teen Titans #17 the Wonder Twins continue their fight against Wendy and Marvin who've managed to stop their attempt to steal technology for an unknown purpose. Before the fight goes too wrong for the intern scientists the Teen Titans have shown up and now it's really on. How will the Titans stop a pair of aliens that can take the shape and powers of animals and water? And what does a diapered monkey have to do with this?

We explore the significance of the 7 in Wonder Woman #8 as Diana continues to learn the rules of her new status and world. The scope of which is still beyond Diana's comprehension. Maya has a confrontation with a new pantheon of elementals that seek to cast aside the natural order of things in favor of a more modern twist. These new elementals are familair faces that would remind Diana of older, more comfortable days if they weren't among the deadliest foes she's faced in those older, more comfortable days.

Because I should be doing it more. I'm gonna try to have at least one post a day from now where I actually type something from here until 2009. Not too difficult a task right? Weekends don't count tho. lol.

Went to FallFest last night, which is WVU's big welcome back concert they have every year. Lupe Fiasco was here and he KILLED it. Matt and I weren't in the best spots ever but I saw the whole show thanks to the huge video screen. I studied his show a lot too. Anytime I can soak up some knowledge that's going to make my stage show better, I'll take it.

I've now seen live:
Jay-Z
R. Kelly
Kanye West
Usher
Talib Kweli
Common (for 10 minutes. Stupid thunderstorm!)
Lupe Fiasco
Black Eyed Peas
The Roots
Pete Rock (DJ)
Fatman Scoop (DJ)
Redman
Boot Camp Clik
Memphis Bleek, Freeway, Young Gunz (they all came out during Jay's set, so they count. lol.)

Back in school. Day 2 went fine. Now I just have to get through one more year and a few summer classes and I'm done. Really.

Music is kinda at a standstill. I haven't done a new song since I did a song for DJ Coutz' album. I redesigned my myspace tho. lol. You can check it out at http://www.myspace.com/spideyville and you can also listen to or download The Mind's Mixtape volume Three there. The good news is I've never been more comfortable on stage and my live show is the best it's ever been. I really feel I'm starting to come into my own there.

Matt and I's blog is in the middle of reconstruction. I got a little too happy with trying to post every single new song that came out and I found myself dedicating 5 hours of a recent Saturday just to updating the blog with 2 weeks worth of missed tracks. So I'm reconstructing the site back into form that Matt and I originally invisioned. Johnathan also joined the site as a contributor but he has yet to contribute. lol. You can check that out at http://www.hiphopmanifesto.org. We'll also have the new episode of the podcast soon too.

I have an update I need to do for Marvel Anthology. It's only two issues but anything new is always welcome. I have three issues of Robin I'm about to turn in at DCA. My first issues in over a year and a half. I'm a great writer by the way. lol.

I'm going to be redesigning B Hyphen.com again. lol. I can't find something that I truly like enough to leave it there. But I got some ideas, hopefully something good will come of it.

I also plan on continuing and finishing my Behind The Music series for The Mind's Mixtape volume II and The Thunderstorm Mixtape. Then I can do the one for volume Three. I wanted to start on volume Three but I didn't think it was right to skip two mixtapes.

For now tho, I think that covers all the bases. Here's two facebook photo galleries from my last two shows.

Hyphenated Review: Original Sin #1 @ DCA *SPOILERS*

So this is the prologue to "The Big Event"? This? Really?

Awesome.

Now the way most "events" go in the fanfiction world, the content isn't well written or never gets finished. Hopefully this isn't the case here as Jamie's first issue was full of suspense, had a little bit of action, and more importantly, it left me with questions as to what the f&%# is going on?!
