Avengers Assemble is where this whole thing begins. This issue takes place in a two week period around the attack on Avengers Mansion depicted in Avengers #1 and follows the actions of Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Captain America that lead in to the launch of their brand new solo adventures! Meanwhile, Jack of Hearts battle's the Growing Man and after is visited by a mysterious man with a prophecy that'll require the formation of Force Works to stop it. This is the book that leads into the creation of 4 brand new titles and offer insights into the two established titles on site through the eyes of their younger members, Rage and Ultra-Girl.

In Captain America Steve and Nick meet with the President to discuss the Commander-In-Chief's concerns about the attack on Avengers Mansion before he stands in front of a camera to address the concerns of the country. But if the Serpent Society has anything to do about it the President won't get a chance to say two words. It's up to Captain America and SHIELD to protect the most powerful leader in the world.

In Force Works we journey across dimensions to witness the events that lead to the birth of Force Works. Moonraker and his small ragtag group of heroes try to stop the Scarlet Centurian from destroying the Earth with a weapon that threatens the existance of multiple realities. Will they succeed and what does a timely intervention by the Time Variance Authority have to do with it?

Iron Man takes place a week after Tony Stark's appearance in Solo Avengers. Tony visit's the wonderous nation of Wakanda to attend and speak at a symposium of the worlds greatest scientists. It's a chance to rub elbows with colleagues such as Reed Richards and Hank Pym and talk shop. But they're not the only group that's looking forward to this symposium as a terrorist group opposed to the technological ideals of the minds gathered look to crash the party.

Tony Stark guest-stars in the first issue of Solo Avengers when he's requested by the Pentagon to stop by and investigate a mysterious new object that they found deep in the ocean trenches. An object Stark's very familair with. But Tony's presence only creates more questions than answers as he set's in motion events that will impact other heroes across time and space.

In West Coast Avengers the hastily assembled team make their assault on The Master of the World, but what hope do they have against a foe who's intellect is greater than that of the entire combined team? Will brawn prove stronger than brains? Or will their reckless abandon and sheer unrelenting force prove to be enough? When it's all said and done, win or lose, there's only one person to blame...check it out in the last chapter of "Hot Time in the City".

In Yellowjacket a series of strange events in Central Park have forced the City of New York to turn to Hank Pym to figure them out. But Hank is still reeling from the loss of his friends in the attack on Avengers Mansion, among them was his former wife Jan. Can Hank pull himself together enough to focus on the task at hand and can his new sidekick, Cassie Lang, grasp what it's like to help one of the smartest men on the Earth?

In The Amazing Spider-Man #2 Morlun has finished observing Spider-Man from a distance and has made his move to put him directly in Spider-Man's path. But Morlun's actions, unfortuately, don't only affect the webslinger as Flash Thompson and Betty Brant are at ground zero of their imminent battle and nobody has seen or heard from Ben Urich in a week since he investigated the strange ship that brought Morlun to New York's harbor.

Avengers Assemble takes place in a two week period around the attack on Avengers Mansion depicted in Avengers #1 and follows the actions of Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Captain America that lead in to the launch of their brand new solo adventures!

In The Defenders #2 the Wendigo's continue their invasion of New York City as Namor and Silver Surfer battle the Bandigo. Dr. Strange is confused by the herd of the mystical beasts as there's only ever been one Wendigo at any given time. So, with all this going on just how exactly does Nighthawk hope to contribute to help those that aren't excited to accept his very presence?

In Gambit #15 if Remy had thought that days after his brutal fight with his wife over the future of the Guilds he'd have one moment of peace then he's dead wrong...well, only if Bella Donna has anything to do with it. Gambit's wife hasn't let their fued go, the wounds to her still fresh and the fire in her still hot. This can only be put to rest with blood, and the consequences to Remy go far deeper than he'll ever know.

Across Europe in The Midnight Sons Michael Morbius and Blade find themselves at the mercy of others for reasons and plans that aren't entirely clear to them yet. That night, however, they're not the only men caged like mice as the suddenly human Dracula is the unwilling guest of The Prince who wishes to use the former Lord of the Vampire's current situation for personal gain. In parts unknown Modred the Mystic continues his assault on the Darkholders over the right to possess their page of the Darkhold.

In X-Force #6 the cards are on the table and all the players are present in Russia as they manuever and make bids on two canisters containing the fearsome Phalanx. It was only a matter of time before Havok found himself and his team in the middle of a free-for-all and you can be damned sure that when the shit hits the fan this deal really gets deadly.

So, what the Hell are you waiting for? Go read some fanfic for Christ's sake!!

The X-Men update is here! For those living under a rock each of the three main X-Books launched today will explore the X-Men in three very different lights, while aware of the larger world they continue to share.

In Astonishing X-Men the team defends their new home of Chicago for the first time from an enigmatic wanna-be supervillain who's gotten his hands on things he has no business having. The question now lingers in where did this wanna-be get his gear? How will Chicago accept this group of mutants that are protecting their city, and will the X-Men be ready for their reaction? The X-Men march boldly into uncharted territory where they're no longer regarded as objects of scorn, but as celebrities.

In Uncanny X-Men the schools have reopened and are admitting a record number of students in the wake of prosperity and peace following X-Men: Alpha. Taking advantage of the increased attention Cable and Ororo have begun an aggressive recruitment drive to draw in more young mutants in need of a home and training, and something happens during one of these drives that could spell doom for Jonothan Starsmore. And if that wasn't enough looming doom for you, then wait 'till you see what the Hellfire Club is up to.

In X-Force, the most aggressive book of the 3, Havok gets his team ready for a pair of dangerous missions. The team is forced to split their efforts between Russia and France as they chase the threats that threaten to destroy the progress made by Xavier. Not everybody is pleased with their mission, however, and isn't afraid to voice their opinion.

And X-Men Unlimited picks up directly where X-Men: Alpha ended to introduce a powerful new threat named Sekhmet. Maverick and Moon Knight find themselves clearly outmatched and chilled to their cores when they learn of Sekhmet's origin and her deadly secret. She's not pleased to find that the world has changed and she intends to take out her anger upon all of the mutants that changed it.

If you're down for reading four very excellent issues - and I don't say that just because it's the thing to say to attract you to these books, because I really mean it - that induvidually take their own fresh look upon the world then these are the issues you've been looking for.

Marvel Anthology is back with six solid issues, including the Giant-Sized X-Men: Alpha. The purpose of X-Men: Alpha is simple: we wanted to establish, in one issue and place, everything you will need to know about the direction MA is taking the X-Men Universe. X-Men: Alpha establishes where MA has broken from Marvel 616's continuity and creates a foundation that will prepare you for the launch of four brand spankin' new X-Men Titles: Astonishing X-Men, by Dino Pollard; Uncanny X-Men, by Tony Thornley; X-Force, by Brent Lambert and the anthology book X-Men Unlimited, by Clayton Tooley. We hope this book will serve as the anchor to these books, that from here each book will read as a part of a whole, and while you can surely read each book seperately at your leisure and satisfaction that taken as a whole a bigger picture becomes clear. Each book will always have this book in common, and you can learn about all of them from here.

Given the direction we, as a site, wanted to take it made sense to approach it this way and hopefully create a world view as we went. The goal here was to try and inform readers. Give them the choice to either read one future title and ignore the other two, or entice them to read ALL of the books with an interest to know where this whole thing was going. Don't fret though, our direction isn't totally detached from what it's known for. Uncanny X-Men will explore the X-Men in a more traditional view, Astonishing X-Men will explore the X-Men in a much more radical view where mutants can be celebrities, X-Force will explore the X-Men in a very dark, dangerous view, and X-Men Unlimited will serve as a catch all for random tales that either impact the X-Men Universe or not.

There are a few #1's in this update too. Tobias Christopher returns to the Fantastic Four with Jason Bruss to bring MA tales of villainy and exploration in ways only the first family of Marvel can do. Tales to Astonish is an anthology title that'll focus mainly on non-continuity tales, but continuity tales are naturally welcome, where those random stories that're floating around in your head can find a home. Gambit returns and Remy finds out that while you can go home again, there are those who'd rather see you dead than back in the Big Easy.

So, go read some fanfiction for Christ's sake!!
