It's been a busy week and I took longer than I wanted to get the update done, so I pounded that out as quickly as I could. Anyway, without further delay --

In Spider-Man it's the second showdown between Morlun and Spider-Man as the villain takes Spider-Man to his limit. Can Peter save Ben Urich from Morlun's grasp? What does the future have in store for Peter if he can overcome this very deadly test? Check out the final issue of "Test and Trials" to find out.

In Exiles the reality hopping team find themselves stuck between the Shi'ar and a conquer happy Earth! It's Sentry vs. Gladiator! Spider-Man 2099 vs. Reed Richards and the Cosmic Cube! With a fleet of starships gathering to turn Chandilar into a smoldering cinder and the Exiles too overmatched to turn the tide the cost of this battle will come at too high of a cost to achieve. And, as if they didn't have enough going on, the threat that Axel Asher seeks to escape looms closer and closer.

Hulk: Spectrum brings us a tale of the Indigo Hulk and allows us to peak into the dreams and art that only a hyper-intelligent behemoth can dream and create. When the Indigo sphere of the Hulk appears over Genosha President Pietro Maximoff dispatches X-Factor on their first mission to deal with the mysterious vessel. Of course, they're not the only group interested in the knowledge the Hulk possess...nor the only group that wishes to exploit it.

In X-Factor we bring to a close the first arc of the first team of Genosha as we're given insight into the struggling country's deals to help boost it into a prosperous future. Emma Frost digs her nails deeper into the team and Xavier oversee's the opening of the world's first X-Corps International international office.

And lastly in X-Men Unlimited we're given insight into the daily operations of the Anti-X-Men known as Weapon X and how exactly does this team of villains come together and the uneasy alliances formed all for the single goal of destroying the X-Men and everything they hold dear?

So...what are you waiting for? Go read some fanfic!!

The One Where The Raiders Beat The Steelers

This whole 24 Posts thing was an utter failure. Maybe I can finish before 2 weeks pass. Sheesh.

The Raiders beat the Steelers tho! This is easily the highlight of our season. Probably the last 6 seasons. We've sucked horribly since we lost to the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl and wins have not been easy to come by. But since we put Bruce Gradkowski in over JaMarcus Russell, I feel like I'm a fan of a bonified NFL team again.

Don't get me wrong. I fully expect us to finish 4-12 or maybe 5-11 but the fact my team is actually playing their hearts out on the field is an amazing sight. It's enough for me to maybe stop wishing death on Al Davis. Maybe.

So I will sleep the sleep of a satisfied Oakland Raider fan tonight and hoepfully everyone else's sleep will be restful too. Unless you're a Steeler fan and worried about missing the playoffs after a Super Bowl win AGAIN. No shots. lol.

My First 100

I've been collecting comics since I was about 6 or 7 years old. I became a serious collector in the early 90's and was a steady buyer up until 1997 when The Clone Saga and my interest in basketball pulled me away. I began buying again in the early 2000's when I became interested in fanfiction and had to catch up on the current state of comics for both Marvel and DC.

I never had a consistent comic shop until I moved to Morgantown. There was one in Winchester, VA, but I didn't make it in there often enough to really call it home. Most of my books came from spinner racks. When I moved to Morgantown in 2003, I discovered a place called Gateway Comics. It was a really nice shop. Had it's comics side and a gaming side. Didn't reserve books tho. And the owner was an asshole. But it was the best shop in town so I guess he could get away with it. There was this one guy named Matt who worked there from 2003 to 2005 and he was really nice. Once Matt graduated tho, the costumer service just went to shit. I even had one guy (who never called me by name until this one moment) follow me out of the store to make sure I had put back all the comics I had been looking at. Never went there again.

Decided to give a new place by the name of Gary's Comics And More a try. It was awesome. They had a huge back issue selection, they let you reserve books, and the staff was super helpful. I would have never read Bendis' Alias if it hadn't been recommended to me on one of my first trips there. After reading the first trade, I was sold on the store. Shortly after I opened my very first reserve box and one of the first titles I put down was Amazing Spider-Man.

I had started picking up ASM at Gateway each month, but having a reserve box made all the difference in the world. ASM hit its 500th issue in 2003. It's 400th issue came out in 1995 so I expected a long haul before my first 100 consecutive issues.

Then One More Day happened.

Thanks to ASM being published 3 times a month (rather consistently), the gap between ASM #546 to ASM #500 was crossed rather quickly. And I, life long die hard comic book fan, had my first 100 issues. While this landmark may not be much to a lot of collectors who passed it in their teenage years or younger, it's kind of a big deal for me.

Thru great stories and bad, I've stuck with it. Without fail. While other titles were dropped or canceled, I hung in there. And I got my milestone issue.

I'm officially a fanboy. lol.

My Blogging Story

Too much food equals my idea for 24 Posts In 24 Hours falls flat on my face. But I'm still going for all 24 dammit!

I got started blogging because my best friend/partner-in-rhyme Matthew Spencer started a blog on xanga in 2004. Before then I had heard of blogging but never paid much attention to it. The reason I thought Matt's blogging was so great was because he lived in Pittsburgh and I didn't get to see him as much so having a window to his day-to-day was great for me.

In previous years, I kinda semi-blogged, tho at the time I would have called it updating my website. I would post the date and talk about the various things that had happened in the process of recording what I thought was going to be my R&B album Life Turned Into Music. I even had a section on my website that was about all the girls I had some kind of connection too. I wish I could find that page now, it would be a fun read for me to see what 20 year old me thought about certain girls.

The first blogging site I tried out wasn't even xanga tho. I had posted a few entries at another site that I can't remember the name of now, but those were soon shuffled over to xanga. I was a huge xanga fan tho, I had a nice little community of 10 people who I was guaranteed to ready my posts and comment normally and I would do the same. It was a really fun time.

But then people started getting away from it and soon Matt and I were the only ones who were posting. Which I didn't mind but at the time I started this blog and had been cross posting between my two accounts. Once I fell in love with the LJ community, it was a wrap for xanga. That and the fact they were making some God-awful unnecessary changes to the site. Matt still maintains his blog there but his twitter has basically become his blog.

I soon discovered I was addictied to making new blogs. I had this one, a fanfiction LJ, a random type blog called Hyphen-Verse that I created to try to streamline this blog, a music blog on LJ and xanga, and finally a music blog on blogger. The problem would be I would be into the blog at first but then it would eventually lay dormant. The last blog I axed was the Spideyville Unlimited music blog figuring I could just make this blog Spideyville Unlimited and post whatever the hell I wanted and no one would mind. Thankfully, no one has. lol.

Currently, I have this LJ, a video game blog where I blog about my gaming experiences, Hip-Hop Manifesto!!!: The Blog with Matt, and technically, I'm a blogger for a site called Class & Grime that's kinda died off. I don't think I'm opening any other blogs except to hold my new podcasts,. But who knows. I can say that blogging has become a ridiculously large part of my life and I'm grateful for it. I just hope it's easy to give it up someday. lol.

How do the Defenders propose to put an end to what could be a cosmically devastating battle and who's side will the Silver Surfer be forced to join? Meanwhile, back on Earth, Nighthawk goes to work at building his own team of Defenders to fill the void left behind by Strange, Namor, Surfer and Hulk...and to just prove a point that he's more than just a goof. Who makes Nighthawk's cut and who goes home?

It's the raging Green Hulk vs. X-Force in Hulk: Spectrum as the green behemoth is provoked into action by the malicious Damien Tryp and Brimstone Love who want a piece of the Hulk's DNA for whatever diabolical plans they're brewing. But as all sides will learn this isn't your ordinary Savage Hulk and they scramble to survive against a Hulk that only grows angrier and can't be calmed down.

Lord Plunder comes face to face with The Tomorrow Man in Ka-Zar and learns the unbelievable reasons for why Zarrko is stealing the Savage Land. Too bad it doesn't mean Ka-Zar knows how to convince Zarrko to return the prehistoric jungle back to the place and time it belongs. But as Zabu roams the crudely constructed patchwork jungle he will meet the man with the plan...a man who's hand a lot of time on his hands to figure it out.

In X-Force Alex Summers leads his covert team directly into the heart of Somalia to hunt for the dangerous Genengineer. But they're not the only ones out on the hunt as Ahab and his Hounds are hot on their trail with the intent to do some very bad things to the dark heroes.

Our band of microscopic heroes journey to the Micro-Verse in Yellowjacket to battle the Psycho-Man and prevent his deadly plans to destroy not only the Earth but the entire solar system as a tiny sun grows bigger and bigger in Central Park and those that were left behind, Cassie Lang and SHIELD, struggle to deal with the havoc the gravity from the star is wreaking. What genius plan will Hank Pym come up with to save the day?

...And there you have it. It's going to be a one update month for MA, but that only means that December will hold more goodies for us to make up for it.

So, go read some fanfic!!

In the second part of our Thanksgiving month spectacular, Tom and Derrick continues their chat with Views from the Longbox host — and Superman maven — Michael Bailey about Superman in the media! This time up, the trio tackles Superman in the movies. From the trendsetting Fleischer cartoons to the classic Christopher Reeve movies to the... ummmm... not-so-classic Bryan Singer version, this titanic trio tackles it all! Plus, the Superman films we didn't get (here's a hint: be happy we got what we got), Derrick defends Superman's right to stalk Lois, and Mike really doesn't like Kate Bosworth much... or at all. Plus a rant...only it's not from Tom! It's all about the whipped cream on the pumpkin pie, so get to clicking!

http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/betterinthedark/betterinthedark

Music: "Auto-Tune That" & "Don't Trust Me (Death Before Dishonor Remix)"

The first one is a collaboration I did for my homie Profit Money's album where we abuse auto-tune to the fullest. The second one is another one of those remixes I keep doing, this time of 3OH!3's hit single "Don't Trust Me".

<lj-embed id="243" />

</div></div>
Auto-Tune That (Feat.
Better In The Dark - Episode Sixty-Seven: BEHIND THE DUEL OF MARY LOU, THE LITTLE GIRL WHO BURNT SAT

Episode Sixty-Seven: BEHIND THE DUEL OF MARY LOU, THE LITTLE GIRL WHO BURNT SATAN'S CLAW

It's become a tradition--around Halloween, The Boys Outta Brooklyn always pick three horror films you might not have considered when planning your movie marathons for the spookiest holiday of all...and now that tradition comes to Earth-2.net! Derrick chooses three films from the 70's including one of Steven Spielberg's first and a creepy guignol tale featuring a young Jodie Foster, and Tom chooses such gems as a high school ghost story and a 'documentary' that follows an aspiring serial killer as he plans his night of grue! It's a six-pack of sinister ideas--plus some suggestions for a second feature to make those choices even more fun--so get to clicking!

http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/betterinthedark/episodes/betterinthedark_067.mp3

BETTER IN THE DARK
Two Guys Outta Brooklyn Talk Movies

DJ COMICS CAVALCADE
Silver Age Comics Through Modern Eyes

Join us now at www.earth-2.net!

And don't forget to join Tom and Michael Bailey as they provide play-by-play commentary of BLACKEST NIGHT every month in Views From Sector 666 at http://fortressofbaileytude.com/viewsfromthelongbox/

Marvel Anthology Update 10/26/2009

http://ma.bhyphen.com/

· Gambit #17, by David Brashear
"The Gathering Storm"

· New X-Men #2, by J.D. Mathis
"What the Teachers Don't Know" Part Two

· Uncanny X-Men #4, by Tony Thornley
"Coming Home"

· X-Factor #3, by Brent Lambert
"May I Introduce the President" Part Three

· X-Force #8, by Brent Lambert
"The Pirate Crew" Part One

http://ma.bhyphen.com/

Starting off with Gambit: Remy is left home alone, so what does any good member of the Thieve's Guild do when left unsupervised with an itch to hit The Big Easy? Why steal things, of course. But as Remy will learn unsupervised doesn't necessarily mean unwatched as he sneaks about the town. And on the other side of town the two most powerful figures of the two Guilds sit down and discuss the future of their tattered groups.

Over in New X-Men the students of the Xavier Institute for Highter Learning are restless after stumbling upon a drug ring around campus that gives the users superpowers. Instilled with a duty to protect his fellow students Thomas Sheppard pulls together a team to operate under the noses of their supervisors...but how successful can they be when their supervisors are amongst the most powerful telepaths on the planet and one of those telepaths is a soldier who's used to seeing through sneaky tactics?

Meanwhile in Uncanny X-Men the Russian leader of the new Kremlin Defense Force, Colonel Vazhin, drops a colossal bomb on the X-Men when he reveals that an X-Man thought long dead is actually alive and mindlessly roaming the Russian wilderness. But the X-Men aren't the only group on the hunt to claim the legendary X-Man as Weapon X races against the heroes to get to him first.

Pietro grows fanatical in his desire to hunt down and capture Exodus in X-Factor as he jockeys for position and power to ensure that Genosha remains safe and stable by creating the first steps of his plan that will result in the creation of The Genosha Compact. What is this Genosha Compact? Well, it's a question that Emma Frost wants answered at any means necessary, and Pietro's actions to seeing this come to fruition may put him at odds right off the bat with Polaris and the brand new X-Factor!

And finally in X-Force the team experiences a quiet moment...okay, maybe not as what began as a game of skill between Pipeline and Abyss leads to a full on smackdown between two of the most dominant and opinionated women on the team. Havok and Emma verbally play a tug of war over the control of the secret team, Madrox, Shatterstar and Blind Faith share a disagreement of words and other forces outside of their walls align against them as Ahab and the Hounds come crashing down upon them. And the reason behind Emma and Alex's problems, the Genegineer continues his freakish experiments.

I have now included on the front page of MA the showcase spot for the Fifty States Initiative. Just like our sister site DCA with JLU and DCI, we are cross promoting with Altered Visions and FSI to help spread the word of the great work being done across the community. You'll also see the 3 titles we're showcasing for the site that cover content MA currently doesn't have or explore a direction and characters we're currently not.

So, go read some fanfic!!

DC Anthology Update 10/20/2009

http://dca.bhyphen.com/

· Justice League #2, by Joe Grunenwald

"Other Earth, Part Two: Identities"

· JLI #8, by David Brashear
"And Injustice For All"

· Starman #2, by David Brashear
"Coldsnap"

· Teen Titans #19, by Tobias Christopher
"Trailer Park Blues"

· Wonder Woman #10, by Ed Ainsworth

"Geological Break"

http://dca.bhyphen.com/

Before I get to the issue solicitations there are a few things I'd like to announce first. Firstly, DC Anthology now has a WILDSTORM Imprint that JLU:2001 was more than gracious enough to share with us. This is the first step to making this Imprint a Universal Imprint to any DC fanfic site that wants it. Part of the reasoning is that if anybody has any Wildstorm stories they wish to tell that're set before the Coup D'etat then they could be focused in to one site to help make this niche site stronger. Not every site is obligated to take it. I wanted to give DCA a few more options and instead of making something new it made sense to me to see if I could get in on the action. So, if anybody at DCA has an interest in Wildstorm you now have an outlet for that

On the front page I have included a banner that links to Meri's wonderful FANFIC: THE MONTH IN FANFICTION LJ, so if you're interested in seeing what's going on around the community you can get to that from both of the Anthology websites. I have also included cross-promotion's to both JLU:2001 and DC INFINITY in an effort to tighten the community and help push attention around to other sites - and hopefully back to us also. You would have seen Curt take the first step in this partnership when he updated JLU:2001 recently and included an ad for DCA on the front page. For the moment this is a three-way dance, but I would be interested in expanding this to other sites within the coming year.

And a special shout-out goes to Meriades for the excellent work he did on the Fanfare, JLU and DCI banners.

So, without further delay:

In Justice League the League's investigation into the Anti-Matter Earth has been compromised by the King of Atlantis who wishes to offer the Martian Manhunter and Atom a proposal that may be too good to pass up...but to accept they will make strange-bedfellows with some rather unexpected allies. Meanwhile, back in Metropolis, Plastic Man goes back to his criminal roots as he and Lex Luthor investigate an attack on a hospital by the Crime Syndicate and their only answer to solve this mystery could get them killed.

Over in JLI Maxwell Lord's day couldn't be going any better. He managed to settle a dispute between Booster Gold and Power Girl, survive an attack by Kilg%re in the previous issue...and now only wants to take in the fresh NYC air...only to get kidnapped by the Injustice Gang! Will Max's day go down the toilet, or will he salvage the day and make it him in time for Lost?

Meanwhile, in Starman, Jack Knight gets his first exposure to the world of Vampires as Flamebird and Dagon must seek out Mary, the Queen of the Vampires. But it's not a quiet night in Opal City as Icicle and Rag Doll get busy doing bad things that bring the attention of Starman and Vibe down upon them.

In Teen Titans we're treated to an introspective Risk who's reminscing of his past drove him to confront his difficult child-hood and drive cross-country with, relunctantly, the son of Plastic Man! But it wouldn't be a Teen Titans book if everything went as planned - especially one written by Tobias Christopher - and the pair run across a supervillain who is determined to turn Luke into a pancake without the convenience of Luke's powers.

And, finally, in Wonder Woman Diana finds love in the arms of the Monarch of Markovia! Even a woman made of rock and magma needs a little tenderness too. While that's happening Red Tornado has an interesting encounter, and the deadly Modo strikes at the other elementals!

So, go read some fanfic!!

Destiny has finally caught up to our Friendly Neighborhood Webslinging Hero as the totem killer, Morlun, makes his presence known to his new prey. Will the ancient Morlun prove too much for Spider-Man or will Peter's rage push him over the edge? Check it out in Spider-Man #3.

In Captain America the Sentinel of Liberty and Nick Fury tirelessly investigate the fluke capture of the President of the United States, but will Black Racer and Fer De Lance be of any help? Unknown to them is that the Serpent Society may have unwillingly stumbled upon a conspiracy larger, deeper and deadlier than their own recent actions as a result of their kidnapping. What ramifications will this have on not just Steve and Nick, but the entire country when they catch up the Society and learn the truth?

In Exiles the reality traveller Axel Asher has assumed the role of the Timebroker and must direct the Exiles in their mission to fix the damage he created in fall through the multiverse. Their first stop takes them to a universe where the galaxy has been conquered by a savage Terran Empire and they're setting their sites on the Shi'ar as their next conquest. Can the Exiles hope to stop the efforts of an entire determined army? Are they even supposed to? Find out in the first issue of "Empire Earth".

We kick off the first half of our street initiative launch with Heroes For Hire. We continue from Amazing Adventures where Luke Cage learned of a game that put a bounty on the heads of heroes, and this round the bounty is Luke Cage! Mongoose and Joystick failed to cash in, but the round isn't over until the Black Cat sings and she intends to wail. Will she cash in, or will Flying Tiger and Cyclone trump her and take Luke Cage for themselves? Iron Fist and Prowler chip in to help, while Misty Knight and Colleen Wing find themselves in The Block with Code: BLUE.

Master of Kung-Fu continues the launch from Amazing Adventures as Shang-Chi finds himself dropped right in the middle of his old life without missing so much as a beat to compensate. Chi and his friends must uncover the reason for why the Si-Fan attacked Chi's old village home, especially when it doesn't fit their, or their master Fu Manchu's, modis operandi. What does Chi's old adversary stand to gain from breaking his pattern?

I apologize for taking a few days to announce the update, but when it came time to type this out things really got hectic. Along with this update you'll notice that MA now has an advertisement for Meri's wonderful FANFARE: THE MONTH IN FANFICTION LiveJournal. You can now click on that to find out what's being released across the entire community.

I Was on Shade 45's The Morning After With Angela Yee

I few months ago, I submitted music for a segment on Angela Yee's morning show called Don't Quit Your Day Job. Angela's show is broadcast by Sirius Satellite Radio's Shade 45. I heard back a few weeks ago and they told me I would be on at 10 AM this morning.

Call comes in, get put on hold for about 15 minutes, talk to Angela (who's as nice as she sounds on the radio), then she plays "Wait N See (Magic)". The beat gets mad props since it's a Best Kept Secret beat and technically an unfinished Wale song and the callers don't down my lyrics too much. They just suggested I go harder on the beat (guess my voice is too light).

The next song was going to be "No Sleep Till Tucson". Now when I sent the original email I included these two songs. But I was asked for two more songs when I was contacted and I purposely left out "No Sleep...". They used the original email. lol. I knew it was going to be bad. Here's my rundown from Twitter:

Start from the last picture and scroll up and it will make sense. lol.. But I didn't do too bad even with the bad song selection. Hopefully there was some people out there who actually did like the songs. And with a bit of luck, this wan't be my last time on Shade 45.

Here's my post over on TeamYee.tv. Hopefully I'll see some comments.

Better In The Dark - Episode Sixty-Six: DIRECTOR'S COURT--THE CASE OF QUENTIN TARANTINO

Episode Sixty-Six: DIRECTOR'S COURT--THE CASE OF QUENTIN TARANTINO

It's the first segment of Director's Court, where the Guys Outta Brooklyn put famous filmmakers before the court of public opinion and decide whether they're still valid...or funneling down the drain. This time up, it's QT himself who's under the microscope. Tom and Derrick examine Tarantino's use of cultural touchstones, whether some of his set pieces are homages or rip-off, whether his frequent appearances have served to sour the public separate from the films themselves, and other outstanding issues revolving around the man who made being a film geek cool. Plus we review Inglorious Basterds and make suggestions as to what Tarantino should pursue for future projects. It'll get medieval on you ass, so get to clicking!

http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/betterinthedark/episodes/betterinthedark_066.mp3

BETTER IN THE DARK
Two Guys Outta Brooklyn Talk Movies

DJ COMICS CAVALCADE
Silver Age Comics Through Modern Eyes

Join us now at www.earth-2.net!

And don't forget to join Tom and Michael Bailey as they provide play-by-play commentary of BLACKEST NIGHT every month in Views From Sector 666 at http://fortressofbaileytude.com/viewsfromthelongbox/

Soundvizion TV: Episode From September 29, 2009

<lj-embed id="234" />
Soundvizion TV is a new live webcast I'm a part of every Tuesday at 7 pm. The panel features myself, Johnathan McCumber, Angel Cannon, Stephanie Hill, Leighann Sainato, DJ Strizy, and is moderated by DJ Monstalung. I suppose you could call us a variety show with the major focus being on music. You can catch the show at http://www.livestream.com/soundviziontv and I'll be posting the episodes as we complete them. I'm also looking into more live streaming possibilities in the future so hopefully you'll see me dabbling in this a bit more.
Better In The Dark - Episode Sixty-Five: GILT-EDGED BONDS--GOLDENEYE and TOMORROW NEVER DIES

It's time for the final leg of our tour through the Bond films with the
first half of the tenure of Pierce Brosnan. The Boys Outta Brooklyn
argue that the Brosnan films represen...ted a hard reboot that pre-dated
the Craig reboot years later, and examine a great debut picture and a
lousy, lousy follow-up. We also discuss how the loss of the lawsuit
with MGM-UA affected how the Brosnan films were written and produced,
the value of fresh directorial blood, and a flaw in 'The Commentary
Script.' Plus Tom likes Michelle Yeoh...a lot..., the revelation of the
Peckinpah-Bond connection, and Derrick talks about his nominee for
worst Bond henchman. We are Inwincable, so get to clicking!

http://www.earth-2.net/podcasts/betterinthedark/episodes/betterinthedark_065.mp3

BETTER IN THE DARK
Two Guys Outta Brooklyn Talk Movies

DJ COMICS CAVALCADE
Silver Age Comics Through Modern Eyes

Join us now at http://www.earth-2.net!

And
don't forget to join Tom and Michael Bailey as they provide
play-by-play commentary of BLACKEST NIGHT every month in Views From
Sector 666 at http://fortressofbaileytude.com/viewsfromthelongbox/

Thanks For The Publicity Daily Anthenaeum!

So there was an article on 6 for his album release party in WVU's school paper The Daily Anthenaum. Good article. But...there was something wrong with the picture.

6’6 240 to host CD release party at 123

By Marc Basham

Print this article

Published: Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Updated: Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Local rapper 6’6 240 will unveil his latest CD titled “Hard Work and Dedication” at a release party Sept. 23. The party will be at 123 Pleasant Street, and 6’6 240 will perform with A Breezy. 6’6 240 is perhaps most well-known for this annual “Gold and the Blue” songs, which are about the WVU football team and have updated lyrics to match the current team roster.

One of the more recognizable names in the Morgantown music scene is hosting a party to celebrate the release of his new album, and everybody is invited to join the festivities.

Rapper 6’6 240, the man behind the unofficial anthem of West Virginia University football, "Gold and the Blue," has a new album titled "Hard Work and Dedication," scheduled for release Sept. 23.

To celebrate the new release, 6’6 240 and 123 Pleasant Street are hosting a release party Thursday night to debut songs from the album and hear some new music from the rapper and other acts.

According to 6’6 240, the new album was a tireless effort but well worth it for his loyal fans in the area.

"There was a lot of hard work and dedication put into this new album, hence the name," 6’6 240 said. "I made a conscientious effort on this album to make music for my family and the many people who have supported me throughout the years."

The performer also believes that staying close to home on this new album brought out the best in his music.

"It seems like I’ve been trying to take over the world since 2000, but my main support has always remained local," 6’6 240 said. "This album, and all of the dedication I put into it, is for my fans and supporters in West Virginia."

6’6 240 has become most recognizable from his WVU football anthem "Gold and the Blue," a song that he says has evolved over the years.

"Every year, I try to make ‘Gold and the Blue’ better, and this year, I think is one of the best," 6’6 240 said. "Up until last year, we had Pat (White), Steve (Slaton) and Coach (Rich) Rod, but now WVU football is moving into a new era with Coach Stew and Jarrett (Brown) at the helm. I wanted this year’s version to also reflect that evolution into a new era."

With the release party, 6’6 240 is also trying something new – performing with a live band.

"I have been working with my band for about a month and a half," 6’6 240 said. "This event is going to be a great way to give back to my fans and showcase some of my new music. We have several other acts performing, too, so it’s going to be a good time."

6’6 240’s release party featuring A Breezy is set for Thursday night at 123 Pleasant Street. There is a $5 cover at the door.

To hear samples of 6’6 240’s new album and the 2010 version of "Gold and the Blue," visit his Web site www.myspace.com/mrdubvee.
I have not been mistaken for 6'6...yet. lol.

Pictures From 123 Pleasant Street September 10th 2009

I opened at 123 Pleasant Street with DJ Strizy the other night. It was the album release party for 6's new album Hard Work & Dedication. I got really good feedback from a lot of people and a few even said it was my best show ever. The only reason I had to start the show was because E likes the energy I bring to the table but in the near future, I'll definitely be headlining.

http://bit.ly/3p5JTR

So, get your head out of the clouds and come on down to the concrete jungle and check out the grounded side of MA.

In Gambit we're treated to another history lesson into the past of the Thieve's Guild. How will Remy handle the revelations of the past?

Simon Stroud's plan for Morbius comes to fruition in Midnight Sons as he convinces the living vampire that there's a good deal waiting. Can Michael trust his former enemy? Dracula is forced to accept the reality of his restored humanity quickly if he wishes to survive 'till the next morning. Meanwhile, Modred the Mystic tears the Darkholders apart in his blind mission to claim the book as his own and Blade, too, must make a deal with an uneasy ally but the subject at hand almost gives Blade no choice to accept.

We finally catch up to Abyss in X-Force after his abduction at the hands of the witch Selene. Will Nils survive her presence and what wrinkles to her plan could make his survival just a little more possible?

In Yellowjacket Hank Pym is under pressure to solve the mystery of how a sun from the Micro-verse ended up in Central Park as the stars growing presence threatens to destroy the planet.

I laughed pretty hard at that one. The Knight Life as definitely found its way into my Google Reader every morning thanks to popfiend.

And I'm still alive. I just suck at this whole blog thing any more. I have a show this Thursday at 123 Pleasant Street. The show is for 6'6 240's new album Hard Work & Dedication. DJ Strizy and I will be trying our damnedest to tear it down.

New music is on its way I promise, I'm working on three different projects right now, but hopefully I'll be able to wrap all of those up in the coming months.

I'm still keeping this blog and I hope to post more frequently on it since I'm still an avid reader of my f-list entries every day. If you need to get ahold of me, the easiest way is thru twitter, facebook, or just email me at bhyphen@gmail.com.

I'll be around tho! I see you Fromme! lol.

It's for that reason why there will only be one update for this month.

In Astonishing X-Men Scott, Jean and Bobby have a meet at City Hall to discuss plans for the future of the cities mutant population and while they're occupied Warp Savant strikes Island X for both pleasure and profit. Can Sunfire and Firestar hold off Savant long enough for the rest of the team to show up or will he bring the entire island down on their heads?

Thanks to the Power Prism the Incredible Hulk has been split into several Hulk's all based on different aspects of Banner's emotions and personality No two Hulk's are alike. In Hulk: Spectrum #1 we explore the first of these new Hulks as the Lord of the Savage Land is called in to help aide a group of construction workers against the rampage of the Orange Hulk! Who is this Orange Hulk and why is he deep in the middle of the Amazon?

In Ka-Zar Lord Plunder awakes to find himself in the center of the Savage Land...but it's entirely unrecognizable as it appears to Ka-Zar the Savage Land has been reassembled in a mismatched patchwork! Fortunately for Ka-Zar his brother Zabu is by his side to help find the answers they seek about whom is behind the attack on his home. The answers they find may shock Ka-Zar but he's anything if illprepared to deal with them head-on.

And in X-Factor Pietro's powerbase is solidified and he's now the official ruler of the impoverished nation of Genosha. But it's hardly the beginning for the son of the late Lord of Magnetism as he must now deal with the daunting task of apprehending Exodus and those that threaten to destablize the already weak structure of his country. If that's not enough the team he wants to protect Genosha and find Exodus is still being put together...

So, with that...go read some fanfic!

This issue takes place in a two week period around the attack on Avengers Mansion depicted in Avengers #1 and follows the actions of Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Captain America that lead in to the launch of their brand new solo adventures! Meanwhile, Jack of Hearts battle's the Growing Man and after is visited by a mysterious man with a prophecy that'll require the formation of Force Works to stop it. This is the book that leads into the creation of 4 brand new titles and offer insights into the two established titles on site through the eyes of their younger members, Rage and Ultra-Girl.

In Captain America Steve and Nick meet with the President to discuss the Commander-In-Chief's concerns about the attack on Avengers Mansion before he stands in front of a camera to address the concerns of the country. But if the Serpent Society has anything to do about it the President won't get a chance to say two words. It's up to Captain America and SHIELD to protect the most powerful leader in the world.

In Force Works we journey across dimensions to witness the events that lead to the birth of Force Works. Moonraker and his small ragtag group of heroes try to stop the Scarlet Centurian from destroying the Earth with a weapon that threatens the existance of multiple realities. Will they succeed and what does a timely intervention by the Time Variance Authority have to do with it?

Iron Man takes place a week after Tony Stark's appearance in Solo Avengers. Tony visit's the wonderous nation of Wakanda to attend and speak at a symposium of the worlds greatest scientists. It's a chance to rub elbows with colleagues such as Reed Richards and Hank Pym and talk shop. But they're not the only group that's looking forward to this symposium as a terrorist group opposed to the technological ideals of the minds gathered look to crash the party.

Tony Stark guest-stars in the first issue of Solo Avengers when he's requested by the Pentagon to stop by and investigate a mysterious new object that they found deep in the ocean trenches. An object Stark's very familair with. But Tony's presence only creates more questions than answers as he set's in motion events that will impact other heroes across time and space.

In West Coast Avengers the hastily assembled team make their assault on The Master of the World, but what hope do they have against a foe who's intellect is greater than that of the entire combined team? Will brawn prove stronger than brains? Or will their reckless abandon and sheer unrelenting force prove to be enough? When it's all said and done, win or lose, there's only one person to blame...check it out in the last chapter of "Hot Time in the City".

In Yellowjacket a series of strange events in Central Park have forced the City of New York to turn to Hank Pym to figure them out. But Hank is still reeling from the loss of his friends in the attack on Avengers Mansion, among them was his former wife Jan. Can Hank pull himself together enough to focus on the task at hand and can his new sidekick, Cassie Lang, grasp what it's like to help one of the smartest men on the Earth?

So, there it is. Go read some fanfic for Christ's sake!!

All 23 Jordans...In White?!

I know I'm a long ways from ever having a complete Jordan collection since they never stop coming out, but this bit of news has me excited. I want the 1's, the 3's, the 9's, the 10's, the 11's, the 12's, the 13's, the 14's, and the 23's now please.

Potential problems on the horizon. Not so much for you, as these problems may affect your wallet.

There have been some rumors floating around that Jordan Brand would be releasing a ‘White Collection’ in honor of the Air Jordan 25th Anniversary, which happens to be the Silver Anniversary. The collection has just been confirmed thanks to Chris Paul who posted this preview on Twitter. According to reports the Air Jordan 25th Anniversary White Collection will include every numbered Air Jordan, 1-23, done up in all white colorways using different grades of leather for the upper of each model.

KATC has another pic with the Air Jordan 2009, Air Jordan 23 and Air Jordan 22 from the collection.

Air Jordan 25th Anniversary White Collection [Sneaker Obsession]
