I laughed pretty hard at that one. The Knight Life as definitely found its way into my Google Reader every morning thanks to [info]popfiend.

And I'm still alive. I just suck at this whole blog thing any more. I have a show this Thursday at 123 Pleasant Street. The show is for 6'6 240's new album Hard Work & Dedication. DJ Strizy and I will be trying our damnedest to tear it down.

New music is on its way I promise, I'm working on three different projects right now, but hopefully I'll be able to wrap all of those up in the coming months.

I'm still keeping this blog and I hope to post more frequently on it since I'm still an avid reader of my f-list entries every day. If you need to get ahold of me, the easiest way is thru twitter, facebook, or just email me at bhyphen@gmail.com.

I'll be around tho! I see you Fromme! lol.

"May I Introduce the President" Part Two

Sorry for the delay this month but between conferences and hospitals we've been held up for a little bit. It's for that reason why there will only be one update for this month.

In Astonishing X-Men Scott, Jean and Bobby have a meet at City Hall to discuss plans for the future of the cities mutant population and while they're occupied Warp Savant strikes Island X for both pleasure and profit. Can Sunfire and Firestar hold off Savant long enough for the rest of the team to show up or will he bring the entire island down on their heads?

Thanks to the Power Prism the Incredible Hulk has been split into several Hulk's all based on different aspects of Banner's emotions and personality No two Hulk's are alike. In Hulk: Spectrum #1 we explore the first of these new Hulks as the Lord of the Savage Land is called in to help aide a group of construction workers against the rampage of the Orange Hulk! Who is this Orange Hulk and why is he deep in the middle of the Amazon?

In Ka-Zar Lord Plunder awakes to find himself in the center of the Savage Land...but it's entirely unrecognizable as it appears to Ka-Zar the Savage Land has been reassembled in a mismatched patchwork! Fortunately for Ka-Zar his brother Zabu is by his side to help find the answers they seek about whom is behind the attack on his home. The answers they find may shock Ka-Zar but he's anything if illprepared to deal with them head-on.

And in X-Factor Pietro's powerbase is solidified and he's now the official ruler of the impoverished nation of Genosha. But it's hardly the beginning for the son of the late Lord of Magnetism as he must now deal with the daunting task of apprehending Exodus and those that threaten to destablize the already weak structure of his country. If that's not enough the team he wants to protect Genosha and find Exodus is still being put together...

So, with that...go read some fanfic!

When it's all said and done, win or lose, there's only one person to blame...check it out in the last chapter of "Hot Time in the City".

In Yellowjacket a series of strange events in Central Park have forced the City of New York to turn to Hank Pym to figure them out. But Hank is still reeling from the loss of his friends in the attack on Avengers Mansion, among them was his former wife Jan. Potential problems on the horizon. Not so much for you, as these problems may affect your wallet.

There have been some rumors floating around that Jordan Brand would be releasing a ‘White Collection’ in honor of the Air Jordan 25th Anniversary, which happens to be the Silver Anniversary. The collection has just been confirmed thanks to Chris Paul who posted this preview on Twitter. According to reports the Air Jordan 25th Anniversary White Collection will include every numbered Air Jordan, 1-23, done up in all white colorways using different grades of leather for the upper of each model.

KATC has another pic with the Air Jordan 2009, Air Jordan 23 and Air Jordan 22 from the collection.

Sean Nice and DJ Big Daddy came into my job this Friday so I could buy one of Nice's Michael Jackson tribute mixes and they mentioned they didn't have a copy of "It's Hyphen Bitches" from The Mind's Mixtape volume Three. Even tho the song is almost two years old, you have to give the DJ's what they want when they're asking for it. lol. So here's the link I gave them in case anybody else wanted to grab it.

In The Amazing Spider-Man #2 Morlun has finished observing Spider-Man from a distance and has made his move to put him directly in Spider-Man's path. But Morlun's actions, unfortuately, don't only affect the webslinger as Flash Thompson and Betty Brant are at ground zero of their imminent battle and nobody has seen or heard from Ben Urich in a week since he investigated the strange ship that brought Morlun to New York's harbor.

Avengers Assemble takes place in a two week period around the attack on Avengers Mansion depicted in Avengers #1 and follows the actions of Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Captain America that lead in to the launch of their brand new solo adventures! Meanwhile, Jack of Hearts battle's the Growing Man and after is visited by a mysterious man with a prophecy that'll require the formation of Force Works to stop it. This is the book that leads into the creation of 4 brand new titles and offer insights into the two established titles on site through the eyes of their younger members, Rage and Ultra-Girl.

In The Defenders #2 the Wendigo's continue their invasion of New York City as Namor and Silver Surfer battle the Bandigo. Dr. Strange is confused by the herd of the mystical beasts as there's only ever been one Wendigo at any given time. So, with all this going on just how exactly does Nighthawk hope to contribute to help those that aren't excited to accept his very presence?

In Gambit #15 if Remy had thought that days after his brutal fight with his wife over the future of the Guilds he'd have one moment of peace then he's dead wrong...well, only if Bella Donna has anything to do with it. Gambit's wife hasn't let their fued go, the wounds to her still fresh and the fire in her still hot. This can only be put to rest with blood, and the consequences to Remy go far deeper than he'll ever know.

Across Europe in The Midnight Sons Michael Morbius and Blade find themselves at the mercy of others for reasons and plans that aren't entirely clear to them yet. That night, however, they're not the only men caged like mice as the suddenly human Dracula is the unwilling guest of The Prince who wishes to use the former Lord of the Vampire's current situation for personal gain. In parts unknown Modred the Mystic continues his assault on the Darkholders over the right to possess their page of the Darkhold.

In X-Force #6 the cards are on the table and all the players are present in Russia as they manuever and make bids on two canisters containing the fearsome Phalanx. It was only a matter of time before Havok found himself and his team in the middle of a free-for-all and you can be damned sure that when the shit hits the fan this deal really gets deadly.

So, what the Hell are you waiting for? Go read some fanfic for Christ's sake!!

Holocaust Museum Shooting
Lego Skywalker and Vader
[info]bhyphen
So as I got older, going to the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. was something I always wanted to do when I could fully appreciate it. On May 30th, I actually went. Angel and I spent at least three hours looking over everything and it was definitely one of the most humbling experiences of my life. I'd like to go back again and hopefully when I'm done next time I won't be so depressed.

11 days later at the same museum, a security guard was shot and killed when an anti-Semetic 88-year-old man opened fire just inside the Museum's doors. I heard this in passing at the time and thought it crazy that the same place I had learned so much history at had become the last stand for guard Stephen T. Johns.

I was just looking thru a friend's facebook pictures since I haven't went to bed yet and saw a picture of one of the signs outside stating "Think About What You Saw" and remembered the events of June 10th. I think in fairness to how much the Museum affected me that day and to Mr. Johns, it's only right that I post this news article recounting the events of that day. I can't sit here and be upset about Michael Jackson and not remember this man who I may have passed numerous times during my visit. May he rest in peace and may his family find some peace as well in his bravery.

Story Here.

It's pretty full update of mutant goodness. So, get on your ass and spend about 2 hours reading all of these issues and everything else we've got to offer!

Maya has a confrontation with a new pantheon of elementals that seek to cast aside the natural order of things in favor of a more modern twist. Of course the timing couldn't be worse for Ka-Zar to learn of other intruders onto his land and is forced to come to their rescue in a truly brutal fight against a pack of hungry Velociraptors.

School is in session in New X-Men #1. Operating in the background of the Uncanny X-Men and without the knowledge of their teachers a group of students form their own team to protect themselves and other students from off campus influences that can destroy them. How long can these students hide their activity from their teachers? I guess only time will tell.

In X-Force #5 The situation in Russia gets tense when the meeting between Mikhail and Adel finally happens and the other players involved in the bid for the stolen Phalanx show up. This isn't Alex's first go-around in shady situations, but none have ever carried such important consequences before if he should botch this up and risk exposing X-Force's existance to the world.

This is a big summer planned for Marvel Anthology as I plan to hopefully carry 2 updates a month into September. To go with the debut issues of the Supernatural line Strange Tales is getting a re-release. It is the Source Book from where these brand new series's launched from.

Anthony Ludgate has wandered the cold depths of Hell for untold years ever since the Son of Satan had exiled him from the mortal coil and stuffed his lifeless body in a garbage can, mindful to take out the trash. At the behest of an unknown benefactor Druid's seclusion will come to an end as he meets up with two mysterious men that have been damned to the pit to hear their Strange Tales. Behold the vivid tales of the Nightstalkers, the fearsome Ghost Rider, of Druid's most hated enemy Dr. Strange and The Defenders, and of the hellish Midnight Sons. What purpose do these eerie stories serve? Well, I guess you're gonna have to turn the page and find out for yourself.

Directly continuing from Strange Tales comes The Defenders by Edward Ainsworth. Doctor Spectrum has tracked the beaten Nighthawk to the front door of the newly gathered Defenders and the battle that ensues is just one reason why you should never live in Marvel's New York City. The other reason to never live there is white and fury and rhymes with WEEEEENNNDIIIGOOOO! Dr. Strange, Namor, the Silver Surfer and the Hulk have their hands full with these two tremendously powerful villains.

In The Midnight Sons by Josh Reynolds you're welcome to attend a ghoulish ball hosted by none other than the Lord of Vampires himself, Dracula. It's a rather lively event and I wouldn't recommend missing it. Elsewhere, recovering from the assualt he suffered in Strange Tales, Morbius awakes to find himself bound and captive, and oddly amused. In England the bad-ass vampire hunter, Blade, battles one of the oldest Vampires on the Earth. The Darkholders responsible for attacking Morbius and stealing the page from him reveal their dark intentions that will push the events in motion that will serve to reform The Midnight Sons once more.

If that's not enough then I have for you the last book of this launch: Nightstalkers by Jan Oudshoorn. Gathered in Cagliostro's hotel room are the others drawn together by the horrific Red Event. But they're too busy smack talking each other than getting down to business. Meanwhile things are going terribly wrong across the country, a sign of the awful things to come, with an outbreak of zombies, nightmares and ghost who cannot sing wreak havoc and panic. It's a good thing we have champions ready to stab, shoot, bite and banish these things of terror back to the Hell they belong.

So, that does it for this update. Go read some fanfic for Christ's sake!

Oh, and I want you all aware at how close that Midnight Sons entry came to being nothing but the lyrics to an AC/DC song. You're welcome at my restraint.

I realize now that the “guessing” part I added with Nas’ section was not needed since I included the episode description. lol. After going through Nas’ sophomore album we jump right into Jay’s first. Unfair? Slightly. But Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt were two different eras. This comparison is way closer then the one I just mentioned.

Chiv and I continue our first "Album Vs. Album" series. In this first installment, we put former foes Nas and Jay-Z against each other once again as we compare the albums they released in 1996. Chiv explains how he completely ignores "Feelin' It", I take Jay-Z to task over whether "22 Two's" really came off the top of his head or if he wrote it down, and we end things on a somber note as we both "Regret(s)" doing this part of the episode in the first place. Get your Super Mean Pimp on and start listening!

To celebrate Chiv and I got together, played some Mario Kart Wii, and listened to Nas’ second album for our first ever Album Vs. Album episode.

Chiv and I begin our "Album Vs. Album" series where we take two albums, break each one of them down and then decide the overall winner. In this first installment, we put former foes Nas and Jay-Z against each other once again as we compare the albums they released in 1996. Be ready as I reveal I have 2Pac on speed dial, Chiv asks Foxy Brown questions she can't hear, and we both cower in fear at the phrase "Nas Is Coming"! As Diddy would say, "Let's go people!"

I haven’t watched one Heroes episode yet (I have them all). I decided to stick to watching 24 on DVD. I’ve missed a few episodes of Family Guy and The Office. But I haven’t missed an episode of Scrubs.

Season 8 has been a great rebound from a lackluster an strike shortened season 7. The show makes sense again, each episode touches on that emotional nerve earlier seasons were known for, and it’s just plain funny. The move to ABC does show at times as the hospital building is less utilized and some characters don’t appear in some episodes (I think JD hasn’t been in two) but the show is hitting on all cylinders. Even the interns that they’re currently pushing on YouTube and heavily on the show work very well.

The interns work so well in fact that even with most of the main cast leaving at season’s end (Braff, Faison, Reyes) and hints of another doctor leaving Sacred Heart, I think Scrubs could even last for a season with the new interns and old favorites like the Janitor, Cox, Kelso, and Ted. But ABC (or the fans) probably won’t go for it.

So while ABC and Bill Lawrence decide my favorite TV show’s ultimate fate, I’ll just savor every moment of season 8 and envision the day when I get all my Scrubs DVDs back so I can get my marathon on again.

I don’t know how old this is but I was watching AVGN and he mentioned a friend of his who made his NES into a toaster. Here’s the proof:

Then he did the same with a SNES:

But my favorite is this creation that plays NES/SNES/Sega Genesis/Atari 2600 games.

I want one. Now.

No More Twitter…

…On LJ anyway. lol. I got pretty sick of seeing my only content made up of my daily twitter posts and since I’m unable to find anything that will help me post my twitter posts once a week, it’s now gone. Or follow me here. lol. To make up for all the twitter posts, I’m going to attempt to rid my LJ front page of all Twitter posts. So I declare tomorrow April 2nd 2009, Hyphen’s Posting Frenzy! I’ll try to post about any and everything that comes to mind, so be prepared!
